at UGANDA ELECTRICITY GENERATION COMPANY LTD in UgandaUEGCL, a limited liability company incorporated in March 2001 with the Head Office located in Jinja, is one of the UEB successor companies. UEGCL’s key role is to oversee the efficient production of electricity power through power plant development and concession monitoring.
UEGCL seeks to fill the following vacant positions:
Reports to : Project Accountant
Duty station : Kampala
Key role : To process financial documents and maintain proper record of financial transactions.
Main responsibilities:
Recording data of financial transactions in the relevant books of accounts.
Processing documents for payments.
Receiving, sorting and filing accountability returns.
Receiving and banking revenue.
Receiving, verifying and filing accountability returns.
Preparing basic financial statements and reports as well as management reports
Participating in preparing monthly and quarterly management reports
Minimum qualifications and experience
Diploma or equivalent in Accounting or Financial Management from a recognized Institution
Two years relevant experience
Computer literacy
Professional training in a relevant field is an added advantage
Other requirements:
Skills in the use of Sun systems and Spiralsoft
Valid driving permit
Age limit: Not above 30 years of age
