Position: Audit Manager
Supervisor: Head of Internal Audit Department
Role Definition:
To provide technical leadership in checking and monitoring adherence to organizational policies and procedures to meet the company’s strategic objectives.
Key Result Areas:
1.Perform reviews of financial system, internal controls and organizational policies to assure management of efficient and effective use of resources, accuracy of records, security of assets and prevention of fraud in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, national laws, and International Standards on Auditing (ISAs) 2.Plan and perform audits and/or special investigations of systems, policies and activities as requested by Supervisor. 3.Supervise, motivate, appraise Internal Auditors/Assistants, and build their capacity to effectively discharge their duties in line with the internal audit work plan. 4. Ensure production of activity audit reports and their timely submission to the Supervisor for final review. 5.Support the Head of Internal Audit Department in identifying and evaluating risks, monitor and report on the effectiveness of the organization’s risk management systems. 6. Review and add value to the work of internal audit staff before submission to the Supervisor for final review. 7. Review and report on the relevance, suitability, and processing of management information used in the company. 8.Carry out scheduled as well as impromptu/spot check audits as and when it is deemed necessary; prepare periodic reports for discussion with supervisor. 9.Carry out any other reasonable duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor and/or management from time to time Critical Competences:

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in either Commerce or Business Administration or Financial Management majoring in accounting from a recognized institution plus professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA and CIA with at least 3 years relevant experience from a reputable organization.
