5) Position: Program Manager
Reports to: Regional Operations Manager
Duty Station: Western Region
Location: Kamwenge
Purpose
To provide leadership and management of Area Development Programmes (ADPs) within the cluster and facilitate implementation of program in line with WVU strategic direction and performance stand.

Key Result Areas:
1. Manage, supervise and build the capacity of Cluster ADP staff in quality programme development, management and implementation
2. Guide and facilitate the development of ADP designs, annual operational plans, evaluations, TDI measurements and baselines.
3. Guide ADP teams in planning for and implementation advocacy on child protection and risk/ disaster management.
4. Identify and build strategic linkages, relations, collaborations and networks with partners and other stakeholders in planning, implementation, policy influencing and advocacy.
5. Initiate and spearhead district level advocacy initiatives on child protection and link them with regional office level advocacy initiatives and engagements.
6. Support development of fundable proposals on non-sponsorship funding for the ADPs in the cluster
7. Facilitate effective monitoring, documentation and reporting in compliance with agreed organisational standards.
8. Effective management of child sponsorship operations and performance in compliance with child sponsorship management standards.
9. Implementation and monitoring of child protection in compliance with the Partnership and National Office child protection policies, guidelines and protocols.
10. Manage the finances and assets in compliance with WV policies, guidelines and procedures.

Job requirement

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Must have a university degree in development studies or related field.
• Must have at least 5 years' experience in community development.
• Must have good analytical and problem solving skills.
• Knowledge of financial and human resource management.
• Must be able to communicate in a cross-cultural environment.
