AHF Uganda Cares Program is a collaboration with the Ministry of Health to provide HIV/AIDS care including, antiretroviral treatment care, basic care and palliative care, psychosocial support, HIV testing and Prevention; training and other related services.
To meet the above needs, the Program wishes to recruit dynamic, skilled, committed, pro-active, self driven and results oriented individuals to fill the following posts:
Job Title: ACCOUNTS OFFICER (Secretariat Office - Kampala)

Reports to: Finance & Administration Manager Job Summary:
He/she will be responsible for ensuring that all financial records at AHF Uganda Cares are accurately written, properly maintained, regular/ periodical returns properly compiled and submitted to the Finance & Admin Manager Will also provide support in management of Staff/ partner advances, budgeting and reporting function by ensuring reliability and integrity of the financial information required for preparation of accounts and handle all financial issues as assigned

Qualifications, Education and Experience
University degree in Accounting and part qualification minimum of part II) of any professional course ACCA, CPA is a MUST. 2-5 years working experience with heavy accounting responsibilities in a reputable NGO or developmental agency. He/she will have demonstrable knowledge and understanding of donor financial/accounting procedures and clear understanding of IAS/ IFRS, GAAP, OMB-133 accounting requirements, budgeting, accounting packages, auditing, training skills, good communication and interpersonal skills, strong initiative as well as excellent knowledge of Ms Excel.
