Engen Uganda Ltd. is a leading Provider in the Oil and Petroleum Industry. We seek to recruit a suitable person to fill the Commercial Manager position:
Position: Commercial Manager
Duty Station: Kampala
If you are self driven, have strong organizational and analytical skills, good understanding of retail operations in Uganda, have ability to add value to the retail business through base customer retention, focused business growth (new and existing sites), manager compliance and maintenance of the network in line with the organization’s Standards, Vision, Mission and Values, have strong drive and desire to achieve results with minimal supervision.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the following:
• Understanding the Petroleum Market, Economic trends and applicable corporate governance issues.
• Monitoring of business performance against score cards
• Developing feasible and practical solutions to identified challenges
• Visual management of performance
• Coordinating stakeholder engagement; with timely communication
• Market and business intelligence coordination)
Requirement:
Qualifications and Experience:
* Relevant tertiary qualification in Business related field; * An MBA degree is considered to be an added advantage; * A minimum of 6 years’ experience in professional sales/marketing in the Petro-chemical industry or related field; * Strong practical computer skills and experience in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; * • People management skills; Good interpersonal and Communication skills; * • Good understanding of retail operations in a petroleum industry; * Demonstration of ability to work long hours and prioritise workload; * Good skills in training and knowledge impartation: * Sound report writing ability; * Good business and marketing skills.
