Affordable domestic solar power is the next utility breakthrough. Just as mobile phones by-passed fixed line telephony to bring affordable communication within reach of everyone, SolarNow brings affordable power within reach of the >80% of the population beyond the reach of the electricity grid.

The Product
Solar Now offers a range of domestic solar installations from small to large, that enable customers to choose the right system for their circumstances, and then upgrade over time. To ensure affordability, all systems can be bought using the in-house PayPlan credit option, if required. Systems are sold indirectly through a national network of local dealers. Installation quality is maintained using SolarNow expertise and training, as well as through sourcing of quality components.
The Challenge As part of its continuing transition from a successful and award winning NGO to social enterprise Solar Now is looking for senior level, hands on marketing expertise to refine and operationalize in-house marketing capabilities.
The contract will be for a period of 3-6 months and payment will be at market rates.
Using your experience of similar sectors and local markets can you join the senior management team to define a multi faceted marketing plan, within budget, which will drive growth in this critical early phase?
Requirements
 10 years track record in marketing consumer and/or utility services covering national, local and POS promotion of brand and product service.
 Impressive track record and/or client list
 Marketing and promotion experience through a dealer network including POS
 Credit product marketing
 Discount, promotion and incentive structuring experience
 Hands-on experience of running a marketing program in a commercial environment
 Extensive local contacts in market service providers Other
 Role base is our HQ in Kampala. You will be expected to travel to engage with our customer, dealer and staff base.
