About this job Position:
Our client, a Christian organization registered in Uganda, wishes to recruit highly qualified individuals to assume the roles of Internal Auditor and Management/Financial Accountant. The ideal candidates should be, proactive, flexible, and with a good track record in internal audit/management/financial accounting. Indivuduals should have excellent team playing skills, be confident, flexible, highly motivated, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and clearly demonstrate ability to drive change within an organization. Furthermore, they must demonstrate high levels of integrity, professionalism and outstanding work ethic.
Post: Management/ Financial Accountant
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Ensure that the general ledger, bank and cash control reconciliations are performed accurately and timely.
• Provide project reports as stipulated . by different donors.
• Manage the financial reporting process to ensure month end cut-off plans are observed.
• Ensure that timelines for monthly and annual statutory submissions are observed.
• Maintain the fixed assets register and ensure that periodic verification of fixed assets is conducted.
• Ensure that the monthly and annual management reports are prepared.
• Ensure that agreed periodic financial analysis is conducted accurately and on time.
• Monitor cash forecasts performance and provide timely forecasts to management.

Job requirement
Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar/relevant discipline.
• A professional accounting qualification such as CIMA, ACCA (UK), CPA (U), CPA (K).
• A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a medium sized organization with at least 1 year's experience at supervisory level.
• Computer literate and good knowledge of accounting software.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
