CPAR LATEST JOB VACANCIES IN UGANDA: RECRUITMENT FOR PROJECRT OFFICERS X8 POSITIONS ( VACANCIES IN UGANDA 2011)

CPAR Uganda with funding from UNDP will be implementing a project on Strengthening recovery, reconciliation, peace building and development in Northern Uganda in the districts of; Pader, Agago, Lamwo, and Nwoya; in support of the Government of Uganda's effort for the reconstruction of Northern Uganda. The
main interventions proposed include:
(i) Strengthen capacity of local authorities to manage recovery and reintegration processes;
(ii) Enhance community security and social cohesion;
(iii) Revitalize community livelihoods and create conflict sensitive income generation and employment opportunities; and
(iv) Build peace and promote reconciliation.
CPAR Uganda seeks to recruit qualified persons to fill the following positions:
JOB POSITION TITLE: Project Officer (8 posts)- early livelihoods recovery project

REPORTS TO: Project Coordinator
Station: Gulu/Nwoya, Pader, Agago or Lamwo Districts

POSITIONS SUMMARY:
General responsibilities of this position are to implement activities of the project with the stakeholders, e.g. the project beneficiaries and writing activity, monthly reports to the project coordinator.
IN PARTICULAR, the Project Officer will be responsible for:
■ Developing work plans and activity cash flow projection
■ Provide technical support to farmers/groups (beneficiaries) by guiding them into better livelihoods and economic recovery
■ Build the capacities of the beneficiaries through various trainings/sensitization and couching
■ Direct implementation of project activities at the community level by working with groups and relevant district local governments departments
■ Prepare detailed reports on activities and contribute to project development
■ Participate in the monitoring of the project
■ Prepare and submit activity project accountabilities
Actively work towards the achievement of project objectives
■ Abide by and work in accordance with Cpar Uganda principles.
■ Perform any other work related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the line manager.


Job requirement

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:
■ Bachelor's degree in Agriculture/Peace and Conflict studies/ Development studies/ social sciences
■ A minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible and successful experience in development work, NGO, Government or UN managed projects
Experienced manager of staff, team builder/leader and member;
COMPETENCIES:
■ Good Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Access knowledge, Internet user
■ Vehicle/Motorcycle driving license
■ Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Acholi essential.
