Comic Relief Project
TAO UK in partnership with Kulika Uganda with funding from Comic Relief has developed a project -Agri-enterprise in sunflower for women heads of families. The project will benefit women smallholder farmers, who have a commitment to transform their livelihoods through agricultural enterprise. The project will support 600
women who are female heads of families and depend on subsistence agriculture to produce quality sunflower, establish a market strategy and provide them with information on prices and trends. The project will also build the capacity of women to form and manage democratic and economically. The women will be supported to increase production through agricultural extension support.

Job Title: Land Advocacy Officer
No. Position: One Location: Pader Reports to: Project Manager Duration: 2 years
i. Serve as the focal point for monitoring and advocacy work pertaining land issues for women in Pader district.
ii. Write reports and advocacy documents on land rights for women in Pader district
iii. Be responsible for training community legal aid providers and mediation of land cases

Job position requirement:

Qualifications, experience and profile
• A degree in law
• Three years experience as a land advocacy professional
• Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills in English as well as editing experience
• Knowledge and a passion for the rights of women and vulnerable members of the community.
• Ability to listen and communicate clearly with diverse community members
• Women are particularly encouraged ton  apply
• Excellent IT skills and be well conversant with the following packages: MS Access, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Internet Applications plus other packages such as Statistical Analysis.
