CPAR LATEST JOB VACANCIES IN UGANDA:RECRUITMENT FOR PROJECT COORDINATOR

CPAR Uganda with funding from UNDP will be implementing a project on Strengthening recovery, reconciliation, peace building and development in Northern Uganda in the districts of; Pader, Agago, Lamwo, and Nwoya; in support of the Government of Uganda's effort for the reconstruction of Northern Uganda. The
main interventions proposed include:
(i) Strengthen capacity of local authorities to manage recovery and reintegration processes;
(ii) Enhance community security and social cohesion;
(iii) Revitalize community livelihoods and create conflict sensitive income generation and employment opportunities; and also
(iv) Build peace and promote reconciliation.
CPAR Uganda seeks to recruit qualified persons to fill the following positions:
JOB TITLE: Project Coordinator - early livelihoods recovery project
REPORTS TO: National Program Manager
Station: Gulu Or Pader
POSITION SUMMARY:
The general responsibility of this position is to coordinate the implementation of the project with the stakeholders, e.g. Cpar Uganda, UNDP, the district local governments, the project beneficiaries and be the accounting officer of the project.
This will include:
■ Planning, implementation, conducting monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of the mentioned project.
• Develop partnerships with other stakeholders
■ Assuring that the community participates actively in all phases of project implementation
■ Provide technical support within each livelihood activity in the community
■ Submit reports according to the timeframes that have been set. Facilitate donor and management visits to the field
■ Facilitate regular meetings between communities with relevant stakeholders
• Cooperate and coordinate with other sectors within the framework of the integration of project activities
■ Ensure the accountability of project funds
■ Ensure that reporting conforms to Cpar Uganda and the Donor standards

Job requirement

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:
■ Masters degree in Development Studies/social sciences; Bachelors' Degree
in Social Work and Social Administration/social sciences/development studies/ Peace and Conflict studies
■ A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible and successful experience
in development work, NGO, Government or UN managed projects. COMPETENCIES:
■ Very strong analytical capacities,
■ Competent planner and results-oriented manager;
Able to prioritize activities in line with corporate objectives;
■ Excellent organizational abilities to coordinate simultaneous tasks under time and resource pressures, to deliver high quality and timely results.
■ Team builder/Team player - excellent ability to lead, build, and inspire teams and to foster teamwork by being a good team player; strong interpersonal skills
■ Good Word, excel, power point, outlook, access knowledge, Internet user Vehicle/Motorcycle driving license
■ Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English essential.
