Age limit: 30 – 50 Years
Duties:
• Supporting and ensuring implementation of the education policies programmes and decision as required by government and the Local Authority.
• Overseeing and ensuring harmonization of activities of the management committees, parent teachers’ association and board of governors within the education institutions.
• Supervising, monitoring and evaluating activities, Institutions, Head teachers and teachers in the Education sector.
• Providing the lead in planning and accounting for the activities and resources in the education sector.
• Taking charge of responsibility for teachers’ postings, appointments, promotions and discipline with the DSC and other relevant authorities.

* An Honours University Degree in Education with a postgraduate qualification in Education or Management. * Managerial, planning skills and good public relations skills. * At least six years working experience, two of which must have been in management of an education institution. Salary: – USD/month

Applications filled in triplicate on PSC Form 3 (PSF 3) (Revised 2008) should be submitted to the Secretary, District Service Commission, P.O. Box 67, Masindi to be received not later than 22/11/2011. The application forms are obtainable from the Public Service Commission, Farmers’ House, 2nd Floor, Kampala, Chief Administrative Officers’ offices and from the Secretaries, District Service Commission Offices in Uganda. Applications should bear the title of the post as well as the reference number specified against the vacancy. Applicants should attach a set of 3 photocopies of their academic documents, transcripts, result slips, certificates and other relevant documents plus 3 recent certified passport size photographs.
