Age limit: 30 – 50 Years
Duties:
• Planning, coordinating and directing the delivery of health services in the District.
• Interpreting the national health policy and advising council on health related issues.
• Liaising with other stakeholders in the health and other sectors in the deliver of efficient and effective health services.
• Planning for and ensuring implementation of health research in the District.
• Overseeing human resource management issues in the department.
• Managing and accounting for the financial and physical resources of the department.
• Ensuring the development of effective and efficient health infrastructure at all levels of health management in the District.
Requirement:
Person Specifications:
* Degree in Medicine (MBChB) plus a Masters Degree in either Public Health or Health Management. * Leadership, supervisory, initiative and policy formulation skills. * At least 6 years experience with broad exposure to both clinical practice and health services management. Salary: – USD/month

Box 67, Masindi to be received not later than 22/11/2011. The application forms are obtainable from the Public Service Commission, Farmers’ House, 2nd Floor, Kampala, Chief Administrative Officers’ offices and from the Secretaries, District Service Commission Offices in Uganda. Applications should bear the title of the post as well as the reference number specified against the vacancy.
