SNV was created as a foundation in the Netherlands in 1965. Today SNV works in 35 countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Balkans. We started working in Uganda in 1989.

Job Purpose:
The purpose of this job is to support the SNV Country Director and SNV Uganda teams in internal and external communication and knowledge development.
Responsibilities:
1. Rewrite and edit technical reports into concise, easily understandable and attractive texts for different kinds of audiences.
2. Contribute to knowledge development by capturing best practice during field visits.
3. Update the SNV intranet and-website
4. Organise events, meetings and workshops
5. Manage internal and external communication based on communication guidelines and SNV house style.
6. Maintain central documentation and information system
Contract Duration
The initial contract will be for duration of two years with possibility of extension.
Requirement:

* Masters/ Bachelor degree in communication, media, information or related fields. * Proven experience in editing * Proven experience in knowledge management * Proven experience in web site and intranet management * Advanced skills in different computer added design and other relevant software, photography and video. * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Proven experiences in organization of events * Excellent team work skills * Strong planning and organizing skills * High level of integrity and accountability * Understanding of rural economic development practices * Prior experience in development work will be an added-advantage. Salary: – USD/month
